The February sunshine steeps your boughs and tints the buds and swells the leaves within.”

Birch Bark Editing hosted its last InConversation event in a rousing conversation with Elaine Fletcher Chapman, Tracy Rice Weber, and Christi Harris. If you missed our grand finale, you can watch the video here.

Much as we will miss our high-energy conversations with writers — and we really will — our focus in 2024 will be on reviews and interviews with writers who’ve published a book between June 2023 and now! Our goal is to showcase writers and their work without adding to the Zoom fatigue we all feel. So do let us know if you have a book coming out or if you would like to review a book or interview a writer. We build community, word by word and your words count.

January’s MicroLit Almanac contained work by Tom Keating and John Coats. MicroLit Almanac Reviews featured Allison Renner’s insightful look at Sarah Freligh’s A Brief Natural History of Women, a close exploration of Diane Mehta’s Tiny Extravaganzas by Carlene Gadapee, and careful consideration of Erika Nichols-Frazer’s Feed Me by Jessica Binkley.

Our Mix & Meet workshop will gather on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern/2:00 p.m. Pacific. See you then!
