Join us on Tuesday, November 16 at 7 p.m. EST (4 p.m. PST) for a reading and conversation featuring Ken Harvey and Alice Mattison. Ken will read from his forthcoming novel, The Book of Casey Adair, and Alice will read from her acclaimed novel, Conscience. Together they will examine issues that face us today. We welcome questions from the audience!
Ken Harvey is the author of two award-winning books: a collection of short stories (If You Were With Me Everything Would Be All Right) and a memoir (A Passionate Engagement). He’s been published in more than twenty U.S. and international literary magazines, including The Massachusetts Review, Consequence, and The Buenos Aires Review. He's read his work on National Public Radio in the United States and in Italy, and has been granted writing residencies at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation and the Millay Colony. A regular book reviewer for Lambda Literary, Ken holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College.

Alice Mattison’s most recent novel is Conscience. Her earlier books include novels, short story collections, and The Kite and the String: How to Write with Spontaneity and Control—and Live to Tell the Tale. Mattison’s essays, stories, and poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Threepenny Review, The Paris Review, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. For many years she has taught fiction in the MFA program in writing at Bennington College.
